How to be a graduate student in Children's Lit

  1. Enroll in a class called "Picturebook."
  2. Purchase repositionable glue.
  3. Using four colors of construction paper create a scary picture of a protagonist being attacked by birds (Exhibit A).
  4. Now use the same four colors and the same protagonist and create a happy picture (Exhibit B).
  5. Seriously reconsider what you're doing with your life when you have difficulty with steps three and four.

I think the first picture turned out really well. It was a little hard to make out the second (mostly the giant blue blob which is the turtle's head?) and it seemed more sad than happy...(what with the crying crow (which looked very good)).

Sorry. Apparently I'm too critical. I blame sleep deprivation.
